Raised in Bethesda, Maryland, where he attended the Tisch School of Arts at New York University. He majored in film direction.
King co-found the portal Theatre company, and Off-Off Broadway reportary company, and he has been a strong presence in New
York Theatre for past 7 years. He started acting in college studying theatre at the University of California. He spent 2 1/2
years in Los Angeles working in theatre and on a television show called "Tour of Duty", and the he moved to New York.
Ted went from the lowest-rated soap on the air to the lead in his own series, "Timecop" (ABC, 1997), playing Jack Logan,
a law enforcer tracking down criminals who are trying to alter history through time travel. The show, based on the successful
Jean-Claude Van Damme feature, however, proved not to be an audience favorite and was one of the early casualties of the 1997-98
season. 5 The handsome dark-haired King had made his mark with daytime audiences as Danny Roberts, bad-boy model and former
drug dealer, first for a brief period on "Loving," (ABC, 1994-95), and then on "The City" (1995-97) when "Loving" evolved
into the latter. Though born in Hollywood, CA, the actor lived on a ranch during his early years, before settling with his
family in Bethesda and Chevy Chase, MD. Originally billing himself as Ted King, he made a guest appearance on the CBS series
"Tour of Duty" and had a small role on the NBC daytime drama "Another World".
